USC the latest to chase Tagovailoa

Saint Louis quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was extremely elusive as a sophomore.

USC is the fourth university hoping to corral the 6-foot-1, 190-pound southpaw. Pacific Islands Athletic Alliance announced the news this morning.


Tagovailoa also has offers from UCLA, Texas Tech and Hawaii. He passed for 2,571 yards and 33 touchdowns in just 10 games. He threw only three interceptions. He completed 69.1 percent of his attempts (163-for-236), averaging a whopping 10.9 yards per attempt. He finished with a passer rating of 204.18.


He also rushed for 553 yards (6.2 per carry) and seven TDs.
